Update 11/30/2016:

Christmas is around the corner! I can’t believe I still live in Thailand since I moved to Chiang Mai in September of 2014. I wake up every morning thankful for the change in my life. I really struggled my first year here. I mean, I didn’t know what the future would hold and how realistic moving here long-term would be. But so far, so good! I’ve started numerous little businesses and learned from the digital community around me.

On another note, traffic is getting bad. I don’t remember it being so bad two years ago. Even the once-peaceful Nimmanhaemin Road seems about to bust at the seams.

The hardest part about living here is the transience of friends. It seems no one really lives here for more than a few months, so it’s hard to make long-term friends. I end up making a lot of friends, which then seem to become Facebook acquaintances after they leave–repeat, rinse.

Not complaining, though–I LOVE Chiang Mai!
